Every cable joint, branch and termination in a hazardous area needs an enclosure certified for that area. NLC offers two protection concepts. Increased safety (Ex e) prevents sparks and hot spots from occurring at all, through certified terminals, controlled creepage and clearance distances and a sealed enclosure. Flameproof (Ex d) lets an ignition happen inside the box and stops the flame from getting out through precisely machined joints.
The EX-PD66, EX-PD65 and EX-PD62 terminal boxes are increased safety, Ex eb IIC Gb with Ex tb IIIC Db for dust, in die-cast aluminium, glass-fibre reinforced polyester or stainless steel, all under certificate IECEx TUR 26.0013X. The EXP-JBR conduit outlet boxes are flameproof, Ex db IIC Gb, under IECEx TPS 25.0081X.
All four are rated for gas Zones 1 and 2 and dust Zones 21 and 22. Every box is built to order: specify the shape code, terminal types and quantities, conductor sizes, currents and the size, thread and position of each cable entry, and fit certified glands or blanking elements in every hole.
