Our Journey
Founded in Dammam
- NLC was incorporated in Dammam with the mission to deliver exceptional lighting solutions. The company emphasized innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction from the outset.
Strategic Partnership & National Expansion
- Formed a strategic partnership with LUXO Norway to exchange technology and knowledge.
- Opened new offices in Riyadh and Jeddah, expanding the business footprint.
Factory 1 Expansion
- Expanded Factory 1 with Phase 1 development.
Factory 1 Phase 2
- Completed Phase 2 expansion of Factory 1.
Factory 2 Construction
- Initiated construction of Factory 2.
Headquarters & Factory 2 Online
- Completed the new headquarters building, covering 740 SQM.
- Commenced operations at Factory 2.
GCC Service Network
- Expanded service network with new offices and partnerships across the GCC, enhancing customer support and service.
Restructuring & Comprehensive Solutions
- Overall restructuring led by Chairman Eng. Mubarak Alkhafrah, hiring professional experienced management to lead the operations.
- Ali Alfayez joined as CEO in February 2024.
- Acquired MDI and BMC to strengthen expertise in Low Current and LV switchgear, deepening market presence and shifting to a comprehensive solution offering instead of product offering.
- Formed the NLC R&D team to localize the engineering behind lighting technology and product development.
100% National & Localization
- NLC transformed to a 100% national company as of 1 May 2025.
- Grew from 120 employees in Feb 2024 to 210 employees by Feb 2025.
- Renovated Factory 2 to improve lighting localization, opened the R&D Center, and localized the LED SMT process.
- Digital Transformation & AI incorporation project ongoing - to be completed within 2025.
