Modernising Public Buildings - One City at a Time

Across the Kingdom, NLC has been entrusted by the National Energy Services Company (Tarshid) to retrofit public-sector buildings with energy-efficient LED lighting. The programme replaces legacy lamps with high-efficiency NLC luminaires - cutting electricity consumption, lowering operating costs, and extending maintenance intervals.

So far we have delivered Tarshid retrofit packages in six cities across Saudi Arabia: Najran, Al-Baha, Arar, Tabuk, Jubail, and the Northern Border region. Each city presents its own mix of mosques, schools, hospitals, government offices and public landscapes - and our scope adapts to each.

We're proud to play a role in one of the Kingdom's most strategic energy-efficiency programmes - directly supporting Vision 2030's sustainability targets while making real, measurable savings visible on the public sector's monthly utility bills.

Project Overview

Tarshid LED Retrofit Programme is a energy sector reference located in Saudi Arabia (6 cities), delivered in 2022 – Present. National Lighting Company (NLC) carried out the following scope on this project: Lighting Supply. The end user of record is National Energy Services Co. (Tarshid).

Established in 1993, NLC is a Saudi lighting manufacturer headquartered in Dammam, producing LED luminaires and lighting systems in-house. Projects like this one are engineered for the demands of the Saudi environment, high ambient temperatures, dust, and a need for long, low-maintenance service life. As an authorized assembler for Schneider Electric, NLC pairs local manufacturing with international engineering standards, and supports each project with a product range spanning street, flood, architectural, and solar lighting as well as low- and medium-voltage panels, backed by technical support and after-sales service across the Kingdom.
