Illuminating the Mosque of the Prophet ﷺ

National Lighting Company has had the privilege of contributing to lighting works at Al-Masjid An-Nabawi in Madinah - the second-holiest site in Islam and home to the resting place of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Lighting the Prophet's Mosque carries a responsibility that goes well beyond technical specification. Every component must perform reliably across the vast plaza, courtyards, walkways and surrounding precinct - through the heat and dust of the Madinah climate, peak Umrah and Hajj seasons, and continuous round-the-clock service to millions of worshippers.

It is a profound honour for NLC to play any part - however modest - in the lighting of a site so dear to Muslims the world over, and to contribute to one of the most important and meaningful projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Project Overview

Al-Masjid An-Nabawi is a religious sector reference located in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, delivered in Ongoing. National Lighting Company (NLC) carried out the following scope on this project: Lighting Supply. The end user of record is Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques.

Established in 1993, NLC is a Saudi lighting manufacturer headquartered in Dammam, producing LED luminaires and lighting systems in-house. Projects like this one are engineered for the demands of the Saudi environment, high ambient temperatures, dust, and a need for long, low-maintenance service life. As an authorized assembler for Schneider Electric, NLC pairs local manufacturing with international engineering standards, and supports each project with a product range spanning street, flood, architectural, and solar lighting as well as low- and medium-voltage panels, backed by technical support and after-sales service across the Kingdom.
