National Lighting Company (NLC) has acquired Modern Intelligence Co. Ltd. (MDI), which now operates as a dedicated System Integration Business Unit within the company. The move expands NLC into advanced low-current solutions and strengthens its position as a comprehensive system integrator in the Saudi market and beyond.
Through the new unit, NLC delivers integrated low-current systems including Lighting Control Systems (LCS), Emergency Management Systems (EMS), Central Battery Systems (CBS), and Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS). Bringing these capabilities in-house gives clients a single, trusted partner for the design, integration, and support of complete building technology environments.
The acquisition was led by NLC Chief Executive Officer Ali Alfayez, pairing NLC's local manufacturing strength with the system integration expertise built at MDI under founder Abdulrahman Almoajel. Together, the two organizations enhance NLC's capacity to deliver end-to-end, integrated solutions across commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure projects.
