We are delighted to have been part of the CMRC – Al Khobar project, a landmark healthcare facility where all interior spaces have been illuminated using National Lighting Company fixtures, contributing to a safe, comfortable, and healing environment.
The Al Khobar facility is a brand-new 150-bed rehabilitation center, strategically located in Al Khobar with a stunning sea view and just three minutes from the Corniche area. Designed as one of the leading long-term care and rehabilitation centers in the region, the hospital delivers advanced medical services within a modern, secure, and patient-centric environment.
The hospital comprises 150 patient beds, distributed across 107 private rooms to ensure maximum privacy, along with 14 semi-private (double) rooms for shared accommodation. In addition, the facility includes a VIP suite and a VVIP room, offering a distinguished level of comfort tailored to diverse patient needs. To meet the highest safety and infection-control standards, the hospital is also equipped with 6 medical isolation rooms.
From a clinical perspective, the facility provides advanced intensive care and long-term ventilator support services, including 8 intensive care beds and 67 long-term ventilator care beds. A further 75 beds are dedicated to long-term care, positioning CMRC Al Khobar as one of the region’s leading providers of advanced rehabilitation and extended medical care. An inpatient pharmacy is also available to support patients’ medical requirements.
Architecturally, the hospital spans a total built-up area of 12,014 square meters, distributed across five floors above ground, four basement levels, and a roof level accommodating additional facilities. For added convenience, the site includes parking for 65 vehicles, serving patients, visitors, and staff.
For this project, NLC’s SM05 linear recessed diffused luminaire was selected and installed throughout the facility. The SM05 delivers uniform, glare-controlled illumination, making it an ideal solution for healthcare and rehabilitation environments where visual comfort, consistency, and reliability are essential.
The lighting design supports CMRC’s mission by enhancing patient well-being, improving staff efficiency, and ensuring clear, comfortable visual environments across all functional spaces—while aligning with the architectural aesthetics of this modern medical facility.
